Proper aftercare is essential to achieving your best result. Your artist will provide full written instructions, but the core principles are consistent across all permanent makeup treatments.

A touch-up appointment at 6–8 weeks is included with every permanent makeup service and is a critical part of the process — not optional. During healing, some areas may fade unevenly or lose saturation. The touch-up allows your artist to refine the shape, build colour, and ensure a flawless, lasting result. Annual colour refreshes are recommended to keep your permanent makeup looking its best over time.

A topical numbing cream is applied before every permanent makeup treatment, making the experience comfortable for the vast majority of clients. Most describe the sensation as mild pressure or a light scratching feeling. Sensitivity varies by individual and treatment area — lips tend to be slightly more sensitive than brows.

Longevity varies by technique and skin type. Microblading lasts 12–18 months. Powder brows and combination brows last 2–3 years. Lip blushing lasts 2–5 years. Factors such as sun exposure, skincare product use (especially retinoids and acids), skin type, and metabolism all affect how quickly pigment fades.

If you have previous microblading, tattoo brows, or lip work, please send a photo prior to your consultation. In many cases we can work over existing pigment, but this depends on the colour, saturation, and placement of your prior treatment. A consultation is always required before booking a correction or colour refresh.
